Friday 21st April - bike *** Short Two river, Deben to the Orwell - Rain first thing sunny afternoon.

After two full-on windsurfing sessions I gave it a miss today as it rained first thing and more importunately, we had the lovely Meava coming for the day:) Had a walk with the baby along a cold, overcast prom to St. Edmunds Church, Langer Road for the Push Chair Pit Stop, a great idea for swapping baby clothes etc. and I had a lovely time looking after Maeva while Mag and Jay looked at the baby clothes getting a couple of bags of great stuff after returning some of her clothes she has grown out of, such a great idea:) Then home for lunch and with the sun now out I decided to head out on my bike. Down past The Grove park stopping to say hello to the calves in Gulpher Road, today I gave Marsh Lane a miss instead biked across the golf course to Felixstowe Ferry. A quick trip around the boat yard before carrying on along the prom all the way to The Manor end, meeting old friends the Hurrells also out on their bikes, Al Wiz was out foiling sadly for him the wind was not really playing ball:(. Then through Landguard Nature Reserve with loads of rabbits and was lucky enough to see a wheatear. I stopped by the old pier to watch a yacht sail in and a small caster head out before moving onto the view point and home via Langer Park for a cuppa and biscuit, sadly no homemade cake today.

PS - was lucky enough to get a pic on ITV's About Anglia weather this evening which included for a change Mags back:)
